Education and Training Task Force

Task Force: Education & Training

The PCPCC's Education & Training Task Force works to encourage the development of a well-trained workforce that will deliver patient- centered, team-based, integrated, and collaborative primary health care. The Task Force has compiled a list of workforce competencies that can help prepare health care professionals across disciplines and skill levels practice effectively in a patient-centered medical home practice or health system.

The Task Force also endorses the Educational Principles of the Patient Centered Medical Home and the Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice as the basic competencies for health professionals practicing in the medical home, and as the basic components for interprofessionalism.
