The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is focused on ensuring that health IT is helping to support healthcare transformation and the move toward value-based care delivery.
Jeff Coughlin, HIMSS’ Senior Director of Federal & State Affairs, joined the PCPCC on March 26 at 1 p.m. EST to discuss some of the major health IT public policy issues facing the community in 2015, specifically focusing on enabling interoperability and health information exchange from a regulatory as well as a legislative perspective. In addition, he talked about the Meaningful Use program, some recent electronic health record adoption numbers, and where the program is headed with the soon-to-be-released Stage 3.
