Aditi Vasan, MD, MSHP is a pediatrician and health services researcher in the Division of General Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and an Instructor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Vasan is passionate about promoting health equity, and her research focuses on creating programs and supporting policies that allow all families to access the resources they need to keep their children healthy and safe. Her current work is focused on implementing and evaluating health system-based social interventions, including community health worker programs; improving access to government benefit programs; and improving the integration of health and social services for low-income children with chronic conditions. read more

Anika Gardenhire, RN, BSN, MMCI serves as Chief Customer Experience Officer (CXO) for Centene Corporation, a diversified healthcare enterprise providing a portfolio of government sponsored healthcare programs focusing on under-insured and uninsured individuals to more than 26 million Americans.
As CXO, Ms. Gardenhire works collaboratively across the organization to ensure the voices of Centene’s customers are heard throughout all enterprise decision-making processes. She has a deep understanding of the company’s key stakeholders, including members, providers, regulators and employees, given the multiple vantage points from which she’s viewed the healthcare system. read more
Co-founder & Head of Clinical, Waymark
Sanjay Basu, MD, PhD, is a physician and epidemiologist whose work focuses on the development and application of disease prevention models for low-income communities. As co-founder and Head of Clinical for Waymark, Sanjay oversees the company’s research and development function, including product, engineering, design, and clinical teams. His team is building a technology stack to enable community based care.
Prior to Waymark, Dr. Basu served as the Director of Research at the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care. Dr. Basu received his education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar), and Yale before completing his residency in internal medicine at the University of California in San Francisco.

Lead Community Health Worker and Product Specialist, Penn Center for Community Health Workers
Tawandaa Austin is a Lead Community Health Worker and Product Specialist at the Penn Center for Community Health Workers. In her role, Tawandaa has worked with more than 600 patients and co-led resident training on social justice. Tawandaa is also the Founder and CEO of Moms Like Me, a nonprofit aimed at supporting and empowering working-class mothers and their families. Tawandaa completed her master's degree in human services at Lincoln University and began her doctoral degree in Human Service and Organizational Management and Leadership at Capella University in 2022. Tawandaa is a member of the National Leadership Society (Sigma Alpha Pi) and (Pi Gamma Mu) Graduate Degree Chapter for academic excellence and is a recipient of the 2022 Penn Medicine at Home CHW Excellence Award and the 2022 Penn Injury Science Center grant.
